Laser dentistry

Many dental treatments can be supported by a laser. In selected situations this can be comparatively gentle. Whether it is useful depends on the diagnosis – not every treatment becomes more comfortable or more effective with a laser.

In our practice a laser may be used in periodontology, root-canal treatment, oral surgery, therapeutic-laser whitening, sensitive tooth necks and cold sores. A bacteria-reducing effect in gum pockets can support periodontal treatment. Local anaesthetic remains the usual approach for laser-supported root-canal treatment; we cannot promise a particular pain level.
